Stakeholder Engagement & Sustainability Survey

It’s all about your stakeholders.  Do you know who they are?  Do you know their value to your sustainability strategy?

This summer BrownFlynn is partnering with the Institute for Sustainable Development to conduct a survey on the importance of stakeholder engagement in developing an organization’s sustainability strategy.  The results of the survey will be compiled into a first-of-its-kind report on the role of stakeholder engagement in this important process.

The purpose of the survey is to gain insight on how various organizations value and practice stakeholder engagement—which is defined as the process through which companies engage employees, shareholders, customers, neighboring communities, government officials, etc., to align mutual interests, reduce risk and advance the company’s social, environmental and economic performance.

GRI Updates Sustainability Reporting Framework

This year the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the world’s most widely-used framework for creating a sustainability report, will be incrementally updating its G3 guidelines.

The revisions scheduled for this year address the categories of Community, Gender, and Human Rights. A public comment period will be open until August 23, and reporting organizations can provide their comments through this survey.
