BrownFlynn featured in Inside Business Magazine

BrownFlynn is featured in the July/August issue of Inside Business Magazine, in an article titled “Green Lanterns”. The article highlights BrownFlynn’s cornerstone training event on The GRI Process that was held in April in partnership with the Nance College of Business Administration at Cleveland State University.

The training was given for free to almost 180 MBA candidates and college seniors from 15 different institutions around Ohio. BrownFlynn is the first certified training partner in the United States of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and normally charges $1400 per individual for GRI training. As part of its efforts to give back during its 15th anniversary year, BrownFlynn offered the training free of charge.

Also featured in the article was a recent graduate of the Sustainability B.A. program at Baldwin-Wallace College, who works in the field at both Lube Stop and Energizer; Curtis Ravenel, Global Head of Sustainability at Bloomberg; the Fowler Center for Sustainable Value at Case Western Reserve University and Beau Daane, a manager at the Center.

The intent of the article was to show that Northeast Ohio business schools and colleges are offering programs and practical experience in sustainable business practices, and in turn companies want to hire students with these skills. BrownFlynn is honored to have been able to provide sustainability training for free to many of these students in the hopes of keeping the best and brightest here in our own backyard.
