The firm, which describes itself as a sustainability and corporate responsibility consulting firm, said the new division, BrownFlynn Learning, will offer a variety of sustainability and corporate responsibility education and training courses.
BrownFlynn said the division’s creation was spurred by the company’s selection as the first U.S.-based certified training partner of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), an organization that has created sustainability reporting guidelines.
“The core of our business has always been about the triple bottom line — people, planet and prosperity,” principal and co-owner Barbara Brown said. “BrownFlynn Learning further solidifies our commitment to and belief in the importance of educating others on corporate citizenship.”

A few weeks back, we mentioned BrownFlynn’s pursuit of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Certified Training program – today, we are happy to make a few important announcements!
First, BrownFlynn has become GRI’s first U.S.-based partner, certified to teach other stateside organizations about the GRI sustainability reporting framework.
Second, this exciting development led BrownFlynn to develop a separate division devoted to education and training in the field of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
So, today, we announce the creation of BrownFlynn Learning!
Consistent with BrownFlynn’s mission to Do Good, Do Well, Win – BrownFlynn Learning will help organizations, lead, sustain and prosper, by offering courses that guide them through the evolving world of sustainability.
Lastly, we are excited to announce that BrownFlynn Learning’s first course offering and signature program is The GRI Process. This course will provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of reporting their company’s environmental, social and economic policies—often establishing or enhancing their sustainability strategy.
As you can tell, it’s an exciting time at BrownFlynn! While we’re developing and ramping up our BrownFlynn Learning course offerings, we remain committed to BrownFlynn’s core consulting business.
